Since its creation in 2009, the CREW M Excellence Gala has paid tribute to the excellence of women in commercial real estate. The awards event raises the profile of women working in the industry and supports them in their career development. In line with CREW M’s mission, it promotes both new talent and women of experience. CREW M members and non-members are invited to submit nominations in one of three categories: Rising Star, Excellence and Leadership, and Mentorship.

Lastly, the Tribute award is given by the Montréal CREW chapter and is awarded to an experienced woman who has significantly contributed to the advancement of women in the industry.

The awards evening is the organization’s signature event, bringing together top leaders and influencers in the industry. It is one of the premiere events on the real estate calendar.

Join us on November 20, 2018,

Connie’s many strengths are immediately apparent to anyone who knows her. The career of this young, versatile lawyer, who specializes in commercial real estate, has exploded in the last 10 years. EXCELLENCE AND LEADERSHIP AWARD
Carole Handfield
Vice President, Investments /
Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ

While a remarkable career path like Carole Handfield’s commands attention, it is with great modesty that she talks about her 40-year career, which she breaks down into four main stages. For nearly 20 years, she built dozens of residential and commercial projects across Greater Montréal. Over the next 12 years, she lived in Poland, a country just emerging from communism, to oversee a major residential project focusing on access to home ownership. Next, she worked as a senior consultant for real estate projects in Canada, the U.S. and South America. Today, she leads a strong team of professionals at the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and is excited to see how millennials are transforming the worlds of housing and work.

MENTORING AWARD
Josée Plourde
Vice-President, Strategy and Outreach /
MAGIL Construction

Known for her remarkable dedication, innovative flair, enthusiasm, resiliency, creativity, spirit of initiative and ability to motivate others, Josée Plourde fell into the role of an impartial and intuitive mentor quite naturally, all on her own. Why? Because she truly loves helping, coaching and guiding others. Drawing on her vast professional experience, she is an active mentor who generously passes on her knowledge and expertise. A born leader, she is able to forge lasting business relationships and bases all her professional decisions on her values of respect, integrity and ethical behaviour. Her greatest accomplishment is no doubt having built an incredible business network and a remarkable career, all while leading a busy family life.

TRIBUTE AWARD
Nathalie Palladitcheff
President /
Ivanhoé Cambridge

For the first time, a woman is President of Ivanhoé Cambridge. Armed with the 25 years of experience she acquired at large public and private real estate companies in France, Nathalie Palladitcheff arrived in Québec three years ago. Here as in Europe, this exceptional manager is a strong advocate for ethics and professionalism while also stressing the importance of achieving fulfilment in the workplace. Her international expertise in corporate projects, finance and transactions confirms her place at the company’s helm. Her greatest source of motivation? Social responsibility in real estate projects: “Building means leaving a legacy for the world. Resources are used to create something that will last. That’s why, in my view, real estate is a noble side of finance.” Despite this remarkable career, Ms. Palladitcheff doesn’t see herself as a “wonder woman.” Persevering, energetic and true to her values, she shows the best of herself and helps others do the same.
